Typing one-handed and rocking my little man to sleep

Our little Micah-monster is 11 days old today, and is the absolute best thing to happen to Travis and I since each other. He certainly has his fussy moments, but overall, he's a very calm and happy baby. I found my maternal instincts (I think they were under the couch), and I'd like to think Travis and I have been doing a pretty good job so far...

When he was born, we were lucky enough to have my mom staying with us for a week to help wake up in the middle of the night so we could get some rest, and Karin was in town from Boise, which made the week that much more special. My dad and brother came in for the weekend, and - of course - Heidi's been an enormous help. Micah's even had the opportunity to sit on his future best friend, Connor, via Becca's adorable preggo lap. He certainly hasn't met everyone yet, but we're lucky to be surrounded by such amazing friends and family. He's a very loved little guy.

Here are some pictures from the last 11 days!

His first bath - totally calm and happy - and then he tried to poop all over us...

And, just cause I'm his mom and I can't stand how cute he is, here's a video...

Maternity leave makes me better at updating!

No baby just yet... SOON, THOUGH!

Travis is having daily talks to tell him that it's time for him to come out and play now! I'm being induced this weekend, but evidently there are no guarantees... I've been drowning myself in spicy food and going for walks, but Travis insists I need to be doing jumping jacks and telling him to GETOUT! Hopefully, by this Sunday at the latest, we'll be parents! Cross your fingers for us!

Here are our cute pictures for the week! Took them in our adorable nursery!

I also got the opportunity to take some "pro" photos of the adorable Becca and Norm yesterday! I'm sure they'll post them soon here: www.theweitzels.blogspot.com
Or you can see some on my photography website here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hillarygphotography/
(feel free to leave comments on how awesome I am! Or just make stuff up...)

Oh, and here are some cute ones of Becca and I!

What do full term babies, swiss chard, and Obama have in common?

It could OFFICIALLY be any day now! We reached 37 weeks yesterday, so that's considered full-term, but we're still hoping he sticks around in there another week or two. The latest it will be is April 12, when I'll be induced! I guess this means we have to pack a bag, huh? .. ... .... oops. (Sorry, mom, I swear I'll do it tonight!)

The fruit of the week is considerably weird - evidently he's "as lofty as a length of swiss chard"...

Please don't ask me what "swiss chard" is.....

And here's how E-normous I am! I was dressed up for Travis and my 7 year dating anniversary, by the way...

Yes, we're still enthralled enough with each other to go out for dinner on our dating anniversary, even though we're married...

Oh, and my random story du jour about how weird pregnancy is: the odd dreams are back in full effect! Last night, I dreamed I got asked to do President Obama's stage makeup for a TV appearance. But I wasn't given any makeup, so all I had was mine. Um... yea. The funniest part was I woke up thinking, "MAAAAAN, Becca's gonna be jealous!"

Micah's Room!

All we're waiting on is some ADORABLE pictures to hang above the changing table, and -of course- a cute little Micah!
